Like most white beans, Tsalia beans belong to the family Phaseolus vulgaris. They are distinguished by their medium size, kidney like shape and white color. Tsalia beans have high levels of vegetable protein, select necessary vitamins and mineral, fiber and complex carbohydrates. They have a creamy texture a delicate starchy flavor. They are great at absorbing flavors and will easily take on the spices or herbs used in cooking. Suitable for salads, soups, stews, ragouts, and purees.
