Broken rice kernels are a byproduct of the milling process. Brocken rice or “Brewer’s rice” is produced when milled rice is sifted. The Broken rice kernel is one quarter to half the size of a full kernel. Broken rice absorbs liquid faster than whole kernels, which results in a faster cooking time.  Suitable for animal feed makes a great source of carbohydrates. Also used in brewing, distilling, and in the manufacture of starch and rice flour.
